New Kampong Bahru Bus Terminal to Open on 10 March 2018

The new Kampong Bahru Bus Terminal, located along Spooner Road, will open on Saturday, 10 March 2018.

2. As part of the Ministry of Health’s overall plan to redevelop the Outram Campus including the Singapore General Hospital (SGH), the new terminal will replace the existing New Bridge Road Bus Terminal, to facilitate the development of the new SGH Elective Care Centre that will add beds and other clinical facilities.

Upgraded facilities for commuters and bus captains

3. The new Kampong Bahru Bus Terminal will provide barrier-free sheltered boarding and alighting facilities and commuter-centric provisions like a priority queue zone, family room and barrier-free toilets to better cater to the needs of the elderly, less mobile and families with young children. To facilitate active mobility and first-and-last-mile connectivity, there will be 150 bicycles lots and barrier-free covered linkways between key transport nodes. Enhanced facilities for bus captains and staff, including staff toilets and a staff lounge, will also be made available.

4. All twelve bus services currently operating from the existing New Bridge Road Bus Terminal, i.e. Services 2, 12, 12e, 54, 120, 121, 122, 174, 174e, 190, CT8 and CT18, will operate from the new Kampong Bahru Bus Terminal. The existing New Bridge Road Bus Terminal will also cease operations on the same day.
