Residents in Pasir Ris and Punggol will be able to enjoy more direct connectivity between the two towns with the opening of a new link road on Sunday, 17 November 2019 (3pm). The new road connection is part of the expansion of the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway and the Tampines Expressway (KPE/TPE) Interchange.

2             The new link road will provide motorists with an additional route between the two towns and help to ease the current traffic flow along the TPE.

Relocation of KPE(TPE) slip road

3             To facilitate the completion of the KPE/TPE Interchange expansion, the existing KPE(TPE) slip road to TPE(SLE) will be decommissioned from 5am on Saturday, 9 November 2019. From 5am on 9 November 2019, motorists will have to exit earlier at Exit 9C and use the new slip road to TPE(SLE).

4             Radio messages to alert motorists of the changes to the road network will be broadcasted on LTA Traffic News. Informational and directional traffic signs will also be put up in the vicinity closer to the opening and relocation dates.

5             Residents will enjoy more direct links to/from KPE/TPE, and improved traffic flow at TPE between Punggol Way and KPE, and at access points into Punggol Town when the expanded KPE/TPE Interchange is fully completed by June 2021. It will also meet future traffic demands from developments in the area.
