We refer to the letter from Zhang Zhi Yi on the installation of a traffic signal at the junction of Anchorvale Lane and Sengkang East Avenue (6 Oct 2022).

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is indeed planning to install a traffic signal at this intersection as announced previously. We are enhancing the area’s road infrastructure and carrying out expansion works for the Sengkang-Punggol LRT depot. This will however take some time.  Installation of the traffic signal will commence once the temporary road works needed to facilitate the LRT depot expansion project are completed.

In the meantime, LTA will be implementing additional safety measures such as installing convex mirrors, more signs and markings to improve visibility for motorists when the temporary road works are in progress. When crossing the road, pedestrians should use the road crossings for their own safety. We will keep residents updated on the status of these projects.
