No Train Service between Tanah Merah and Tampines stations (East-West Line) from 7-10 Dec 2024
Simei station will be closed from 7 to 10 December 2024 to facilitate works for a new connection to East Coast Integrated Depot. There will be no train service on the East-West Line between Tanah Merah and Tampines stations. To minimise the impact of these service adjustments, alternative travel options will be available to serve affected commuters.
Commuters are encouraged to plan your journeys in advance to factor in additional travelling time.
Shuttle trains will operate at the following intervals for commuters travelling between:
- Tampines and Pasir Ris stations – every 5 minutes
- Tanah Merah and Expo stations – every 8 minutes
- Expo and Changi Airport stations – every 11 minutes
Note: If you are travelling towards Tanah Merah on 9 and 10 December 2024 between 7am–10am and 5pm–8pm, please note that alternate trains heading towards Tanah Merah station will end their service at Paya Lebar station to maintain peak hour frequency.
Shuttle bus service, Shuttle 7, will run between Tampines, Simei and Tanah Merah stations at a frequency of 3 to 5 minutes. Please refer to way-finding videos for details of the shuttle bus boarding and alighting points.
Refer to the EWL Service Adjustments Brochure (PDF, 1.1MB) for full details in English and Chinese about:
- Alternative travel routes from Pasir Ris or Tampines stations
- For commuters travelling to and from Simei (closed station)
